Perfect for chefs at the beginning of their culinary journey, this role is ideal for someone with 1–2 years of kitchen experience looking to spend a winter season in the Alps.
At Snow Retreat, our goal is to deliver exceptional value catered chalet holidays, with delicious, hearty food at the heart of every guest experience.
As a Chalet Cook, you’ll prepare and serve our set chalet menu, creating beautifully presented and satisfying meals in a customer-facing kitchen environment. With all food supplies delivered directly to resort, you’ll have more free time to enjoy everything mountain life has to offer — from skiing and snowboarding to soaking up the alpine atmosphere.
Requirements
ALL PASSPORT CONSIDERED - Those without EU passports or current right to work in France (so UK / Australian etc.) will be required to go through the relevant VISA process.
Having catering or kitchen employment experience is a huge bonus for the chalet cook position, you should have a passion for cooking and be able to confidently cook great family food for 10 people or more.
Our Chalet cook's:
- Love cooking and can produce wholesome dishes for a party of people.
- Must be able to cook the Snow Retreat menu.
- Have the skills to work efficiently in the kitchen (knife skills, multitasking, organised)
- Have a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene
- Have pride in their work
- Be able to work in a customer facing kitchen
