Chalet Support

Val-d'Isère, France Winter Season

Often referred to as our “Super Hosts,” this role is all about flexibility and teamwork. On a daily basis, you’ll follow a rota supporting Chalet Hosts across a range of chalets. You should be prepared to step in at short notice, covering any chalet when needed—particularly in cases of staff illness or injury.

While the position is primarily chalet-based, there may also be occasional opportunities to assist with other resort tasks, such as shopping distribution and general support duties.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Customer Service

  • Provide a warm welcome and build strong relationships with guests throughout their stay
  • Deliver exceptional, personalised customer service to ensure a memorable holiday experience
  • Create a relaxed and friendly chalet atmosphere, especially during meal times
  • Anticipate guest needs and go the extra mile to exceed expectations

Catering & Food Service

  • Prepare and serve daily home-cooked meals, including:
    • Cooked breakfast
    • Afternoon tea
    • Canapés and pre-dinner drinks
    • Three-course evening meals
  • Ensure all dishes are presented to a high standard and taste excellent
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all food preparation areas

Housekeeping & Chalet Maintenance

  • Clean the chalet daily, including bedrooms and communal areas
  • Change towels mid-week and carry out full deep cleans on changeover days
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation at all times
  • Ensure the chalet is consistently welcoming and well-presented

Airport

  • Some Chalet Support team members play a key role on changeover day by accompanying guests to the airport, ensuring smooth and stress-free departures. They also assist with welcoming incoming guests, providing a warm meet and greet experience!

Daily Operations

  • Start early to prepare and serve breakfast for guests
  • Manage daily schedules including cleaning, food prep, and guest service
  • Prepare afternoon tea and evening meals efficiently
  • Conduct weekly stock checks and collect supplies from resort stores
  • Work collaboratively with chalet managers and resort teams

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Essential Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational ability
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
  • High attention to detail in both food preparation and cleaning

Experience & Knowledge

  • Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or customer service
  • Ability to cook to a good standard (professional experience or cookery course preferred)
  • Understanding of hygiene and food safety standards
  • Awareness of guest service excellence within a hospitality environment
