Chalet Host
Summit Special Ltd are looking to recruit our Chalet Hosting team for the 2026/2027 season in Les Gets, a beautiful French alpine resort in the heart of the Portes du Soleil region.
We are looking for both couples and individuals to work as part of our chalet hosting team looking after up to 16 guests and ensure that they have a fantastic holiday in a high quality, luxurious chalet. We are a family owned business and have been lucky enough to stay in Les Gets ourselves for nearly 20 years. Our overriding aim is to provide the same memorable holidays that we have always enjoyed.
To achieve this we require you to be outgoing, hard working and have a passion for providing the highest level of customer service whilst creating a professional, relaxed and friendly atmosphere in the chalet.
Chalet hosting is hard work but very rewarding.
Main Responsibilities
- Creating a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere for our guests within the chalet.
- Customer service delivery – incl. breakfast service, afternoon tea and evening meal.
- Serving pre-dinner drinks and canapes to guests
- Housekeeping of all bedrooms and bathrooms (laundry, cleanliness and presentation throughout the chalet) and communal areas.
- Proactive communication with guests to ensure all queries are answered and any special requests are met at the earliest opportunity.
- General chalet maintenance – reporting issues to the chalet manager.
- Maintaining general hygiene, health and safety standards
- Daily/weekly stock management and shopping for provisions whilst maintaining and improving local supplier relations.
- Driving guests in our resort vehicle to/from ski lifts in Les Gets and neighbouring resorts.
- Providing a daily cooked and continental breakfast and afternoon tea for chalet guests.
- Distribution of guest’s ski passes on arrival when required.
- Assisting guests with their luggage and storage of luggage.
- Maintaining cleanliness, hygiene and safety in the pool, spa and gym areas.
Requirements
We are looking for the following key personal qualities and attributes:
- Highly motivated with a 5-star service mentality
- Positive and flexible attitude
- Proactive, work well under pressure with great attention to detail
- Team player is essential
- Punctual and well presented at all times
- Good communication skills
- Full UK/European driving licence
- Previous experience of chalet hosting or work within the catering/hospitality industry would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given
All applicants must have:-
- The ability to work in France (French national or holder of a valid EU passport)
- For none French or EU applicants, a valid passport is essential. A French work permit application will be made for the successful applicant and assistance with the work Visa application.
- A UK/Euro bank account and National Insurance Number (or EU equivalent)
You must be available to work from 1st December 2026 until mid April 2027.
