French-Speaking Resort Rep and Reservations Assistant in Tignes - next ski season 2026/2027

About the Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic Resort Rep and Reservations Assistant to join our welcoming and dynamic Reservations Team at Chalet Chardons in Tignes. This is a fixed-term position starting this autumn, running through the winter ski season and concluding in April 2026.

Who Are We?

Chalet Chardons is an independently owned ski chalet company that has been offering exceptional ski holidays in the French Alps for over 20 years. We specialise in providing catered ski chalet holidays that deliver outstanding value for money, operating across the world-class resort of Tignes. Whilst the majority of our guests are British, we are proud to welcome a diverse international client base from across Europe, North America, Australia, and beyond.

What Does the Role Involve?

This is far from your typical 9-to-5 office job. Based in Tignes, this role offers a work schedule designed to give you ample time to enjoy skiing, snowboarding, and other alpine activities, thanks to our split-shift system.

You and your team's primary responsibility is managing all guest bookings, supporting and communicating with guests all the way from the initial point of contact and confirming their booking right through to their departure after their holiday. This role requires impeccable communication with the operations and chalet teams to ensure they have all the relevent information to host our guests and give them the best possible stay. As a resort rep as well, you will be responsible for building relationships with suppliers in resort and having a solid knowledge of the area so that you can offer any help and advice to guests and chalet teams.

Key tasks include:

  • Supporting the sales manager with booking enquiries and converting quotes into confirmed bookings.
  • Collecting information from guests post-booking and accurately uploading all relevant information to the booking management software
  • Upselling ski extras (ski passes / equipment etc) and offering our concierge service
  • Assisting clients with questions and special requests prior to their arrival.
  • Communicating with the operations and chalet teams so that that have all the necessary information on their current or upcoming guests
  • Co-ordinating all guest arrivals & departures
  • Supporting guests throughout their stay and communicating any concerns to management where required
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with guests through regular chalet visits
  • Ensuring all guests receive any pre ordered ski extras (ski passes / equipment etc)
  • Ensuring outstanding customer service and guest satisfaction
  • Endeavouring to eliminate where possible any customer complaints but, if they do arise, dealing with these efficiently and effectively, leaving guests happy in the end
  • Maintaining and developing key supplier relations in resort
  • Communicating with French guests and offering French language support for our non-French speaking teams in resort when necessary

Whilst these are the core focuses of the role, there may also be opportunities to get involved in marketing tasks — including social media management and seasonal marketing campaigns — depending on your skills and interests.

    Who Are We Looking For?

Whether you are at the beginning of your professional journey or an experienced customer service or sales professional seeking a lifestyle change, this role is about your attitude and approach as much as your experience.

Working closely with and reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, the ideal candidate will be a proactive, organised, and customer-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Our shift pattern is designed to offer a great work-life balance, with plenty of free time during the day to enjoy all the mountains have to offer.

    Essential Attributes:
    • A genuine “people person” who builds rapport quickly and naturally.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

    • Highly organised, with the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities.
    • A customer-first mindset with commercial awareness.
    • Strong work ethic and a positive, professional attitude.

    • French language skills (B1 minimum)

    Desirable, But Not Essential:
    • Previous experience in reservations, sales, or customer service.
    • Marketing knowledge or digital marketing experience (e.g. social media management, website updates, SEO).
    • An interest in winter sports or alpine living.

Perks of Working for Chalet Chardons:

    • Live and work in one of the world’s leading ski resorts.
