The Aquatic Centre has an Olympic sized pool, a diving pool and outdoor lap pool with splash pad offering swimming lessons, exercise programs, swimming carnivals and events for community members. As Shift Coordinator I am responsible for the coordination of 3-6 team members within the shift period.
• Coordinating and supervising staff during the shift, ensuring posts and tasks are allocated and breaks are taken and covered.
• Identifying risks, including irresponsible behaviour of patrons, chemical imbalances and pool contamination and applying risk management processes.
• Maintaining aquatic facility plant and equipment, conducting safety checks on pool equipment and facility grounds to ensure customer safety, frequent inspections and minor repairs when necessary.
• Overseeing the plant room, testing pool water quality, ensuring chemical balances are correct, logging chemical readings.
