Background

I'm an enthusiastic and outgoing hospitality professional with extensive experience in busy, customer-facing roles. I thrive in energetic environments, bringing positive energy, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to every interaction. With a lifelong passion for skiing and mountaineering—having skied across the Alps and Dolomites—I feel completely at home in mountain environments. In previous roles, including bar staff and team leadership at The Dirty Onion in Belfast, I've proven my ability to provide exceptional service, manage challenging situations, and foster welcoming atmospheres. Currently completing a master's in Climate Change and Sustainability, I’m proactive, adaptable, and eager to deliver unforgettable guest experiences both on and off the slopes. I’m now seeking opportunities to combine my hospitality expertise, skiing passion, and natural sociability in a ski season role, ensuring every guest enjoys the mountains as much as I do.

Education

  • Liverpool John Moores University
    Climate change and sustainability
    2024 - 2025
In this master’s course, I have built upon the knowledge gained through my Bachelor’s degree and applied it to real life scenarios pertaining to sustainable infrastructure and hazard management. I have sharpened my skills in GIS using tools like QGIS and ArcGIS pro and I have learned to interpret, analyse and present data in a clear systematic way which is accessible to a variety of audiences. I have used ArcGIS in conjunction with lab work, to analyse microplastic pollution in small river systems and create maps of the rivers catchment areas with the aim of identifying microplastic pollution sources. This work helped me to sharpen my analytical capacities and ultimately communicate my findings in a user-friendly manner.
  • Queens University Belfast
    Geography
    2021 - 2024
During my studies, I developed analytical skills by utilising numerous forms of data and communicating this information in an effective and thorough manner. I have enjoyed using GIS software such as ArcGIS Pro in assignments effectively using data as a form of communication. In a project on wildfires in the Mourne Mountains, we used ArcGIS pro along with R studio to produce maps with infrared imagery to track damage to vegetation and their recovery after the event. This project increased my awareness of how useful ArcGIS is in the interpretation and presentation of data. This experience prompted me to use ArcGIS in my dissertation to showcase the underlying geology of the Belfast Hills and use the StoryMap tool to display the maps and data in a user friendly and aesthetically pleasing way.
