Hi, I’m Isobella van der Merwe, a friendly and capable South African with a strong background in both hospitality and client service. I worked at Clark’s Oyster Bar in Aspen, Colorado, during a winter season—an incredibly fast-paced, high-end restaurant where I developed strong skills in table service, multitasking, attention to detail, and maintaining professionalism under pressure. I thrived in the social atmosphere and genuinely enjoyed creating a memorable dining experience for guests. Currently, I work at Allan Gray, a leading investment firm, where I serve as a client consultant. This role has sharpened my communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills—qualities that I believe translate well into chalet hosting, where reliability, warmth, and professionalism are key. I’m now looking forward to combining my hospitality experience with my client-focused approach in a chalet host role in the French Alps this winter. I’m a fast learner, an excellent team player, and always bring a positive, can-do attitude to any environment.
