Background

Kia Ora, my name is Joost and I am excited to live and work in the mountains. Growing up in New Zealand I have developed a passion for the outdoors, enjoying a range of activities including snowboarding, hiking, and surfing to name a few. I am now excited to spread my wings and experience new cultures, meet like minded people, and shred some of the best snow on the planet. I hold a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering and have worked in a number of detail oriented environments, with customer and client satisfaction being a top priority. I am confident using a variety of hand tools and am naturally mechanically minded. I hold a clean full New Zealand drivers license, and have experience driving cars, vans, and light trucks in both manual and automatic transmissions.   This four year degree focuses on applying science and math to design, build, and maintain various machines and systems. During this time I took courses including, fluid dynamics, finite element analysis, advanced material science, as well as many more. Throughout my studies I was challenged to think critically and manage my time effectively. These are skills I have carried through with me and continue to use in my everyday life.
