Background

We are Nazaré (British-French) and Brett (South African-English), a married couple with a shared passion for hospitality, travel, and mountain life. Between us, we bring a wealth of international experience and a strong work ethic, making us a dynamic and reliable team for any chalet environment. Brett is a highly skilled Head Chef with a background in fine dining kitchens across South Africa and the UK. He is also a qualified carpenter and handyman, capable of maintaining and repairing chalet facilities to a high standard. Nazaré has over 15 years’ experience across all areas of hospitality—from high-end hotels and resorts to restaurants and châteaux—having held key management roles in customer service and operations. She is known for her attention to detail, 5-star cleanliness standards, and ability to lead and motivate teams. We are both first aid and fire safety trained (certification renewal pending), HACCP-aware, and hold full driving licences. Language-wise, Nazaré speaks fluent English, French, and German, while Brett speaks English, Afrikaans/Dutch, Zulu, and is currently learning French. Together, we are adaptable, hands-on, and take pride in delivering warm, seamless guest experiences. Well-travelled and well-spoken, we thrive in fast-paced environments and love the rewarding lifestyle that seasonal work offers—especially in the Alps.
