Background

I’m a 19-year old with an Irish (EU) passport. Having recently finished my A-Levels in History, English Language, and Economics, I’m currently taking a gap year to gain work experience, meet new people, and explore new countries. I’m especially keen to work a ski season – ideally in a hospitality or chalet role – where I can take on responsibility, build independence, and contribute to a fun and hard-working team. Since August 2023, I’ve worked at Waitrose & Partners in a customer-facing hospitality role, preparing and serving food on the deli, cheese, meat and fish counters, with training in food safety. I’m also trained on checkouts and other store duties, giving me solid experience in busy, team-based environments. I pride myself on being friendly, reliable, and always ready to get stuck in.

This has equipped me with strong food preparation, customer service, and hospitality skills in a fast-paced, high-standard retail environment. I have received formal training in food hygiene, health and safety, and cleanliness standards, ensuring consistent delivery of safe and high-quality food products. I regularly interact with customers, providing personalised service, managing special requests, and promoting a welcoming atmosphere - all of which are highly transferable to chalet and hospitality roles. I am used to working early starts, weekends, and as part of a team, maintaining attention to detail and time management during busy service periods.
