Dear Sir or Madam, My name is Arthur Descamps, and I graduated in June with a degree in Wood Technology and Preparation. Before entering the professional field, I would love to gain new experiences by spending and working a winter season in a ski resort. As a passionate snowboarder, this would be a great opportunity for me to make snowboarding more than just a holiday activity this season. That is why I am very enthusiastic about applying for a job in the Alps during the 2025–2026 winter season. Working in Austria particularly appeals to me, as it allows me to combine valuable work experience with my passion for adventure, snowboarding, and discovering new surroundings. For me, a season in the Alps is more than just a job — it is a chance to contribute to guests’ experiences, develop new skills, and become part of the unique atmosphere of mountain life in Austria. From my previous work experience, I have learned to be flexible and adaptable. I speak fluent Dutch, good English, and some French, and I am a social and eager learner. This enables me to connect easily with both guests and colleagues. In addition, I am stress-resistant, hardworking, and enjoy taking initiative — both independently and as part of a team. I understand that a basic knowledge of German is important, and I have already started practicing. I am interested in positions in hospitality or ski rental, and with my technical background, I could also assist with more technical or logistical tasks. My current contract runs until 30 November 2025, which means I will be available to start this new adventure from 1 December 2025. I would be happy to further explain my motivation in an interview.
