Background

Hard-working and punctual individual with experience in hospitality and boat maintenance. My experience in hospitality has given me the ability to confidently work in a busy restaurant environment. I am proficient in bartending, waitressing and managing staff to ensure an excellent customer experience. I also have experience as a kitchen porter, pot-washing, and assisting the chefs in the kitchen as well as preparing salads and desserts and plating meals. I have good knowledge of hygiene standards which need to be upkept in the kitchen. My boatbuilding work has given me a wealth of transferable skills in the trade sector. I am confident using a range of power tools and machinery, experienced in working with a range of woods, plywood, fibreglass, resins, gelcoats, and paints. The focus of my job is to identify and rectify issues with boats so attention to detail is paramount and something I honed during my time in hospitality. Working in a team of 4 boatbuilders communication and teamwork are essential to get the boat refit smoothly. I take the initiative on what needs doing regularly whilst liaising with other staff members to ensure smooth working. I take a lot of pride in my work whether that be serving a pint with the perfect head or completing a gelcoat repair that blends so seamlessly you can't tell it was ever damaged. I love change, a challenge, and a fast paced environment so I'm seeking a job in the upcoming 2026/2027 ski season that will develop upon my past experience and allow me to explore a new area. I am a UK national fluent in English, have basic conversational German and a full clean UK driving license. Ideally looking for a position that includes accommodation or can point me towards finding accommodation in the area during the season.
