Grill Chef

Work a season in the Swiss Alps!

An exciting new opportunity is available to spend the winter season working in a new kitchen in the luxury mountain lodge hotel. You will be required to assist the head chef in the day to day running of the kitchen and producing excellent cuisine.

You must have an EU passport or European residence to be eligible.

Working on a rota with the head chef and supported by a chef de partie and two kitchen assistants you will need to be capable of the following:

• Breakfast
• Lunch
• A la Carte Dinner with specials.
• Staff meals
  

In general there will be maximum of 55 covers for breakfast and evening meal. The lunchtime trade can be unpredictable and typically ranges from 10 covers to 40 covers.

You will need to be able to run the grill to support the head chef during service.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about food and delivering amazing hospitality to our guests. Experience in a similar position is beneficial but not necessary, however we are looking for commitment and dedication.

Mountain Lodge is a small boutique ski hotel situated on the slopes in a small hamlet in the Swiss Alps offering an amazing experience to work in a small team and enjoy the mountains in your time off.

Requirements

This position would suit applicants with the following experience and skills:

• Previous experience in the catering industry, with food hygiene qualifications

• Good communication skills
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Previous experience of living in a ski resort
• Positive can do attitude
• Team player
• An EU passport is required to work in Switzerland
